The South of England - Historical Views

In one and a half weeks about three thousand kilometers, mainly on small and very small roads through the south of England to the southern tip of Cornwall. The stops on the journey speak for themselves, apart from the picturesque areas in which they are located and the many winding streets and lanes of the English south.

Stations of the journey

Kent, East Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall:
Canterbury ... Folkestone ... Rye ... Hastings ... Bodiam Castle ... Sissinghurst Castle ... Portsmouth ... Plymouth ... Megaride 2018 ... Exeter ... Hardy's Cottage ... Dartmouth ... Tintagel Castle ... Lost Gardens of Heligan ... Mevagissey ...

These special places would be nothing without the many nice people I met there. They fill the sometimes cold walls with warmth and life. Motorcycling creates unforgettable contacts.
I describe all of this in my travelogue “In the footsteps of Rosamunde Pilcher”. You can also find my impressions of English left-hand traffic here.
